The BC Wildfire Federation (BCWF) is looking for a camera that was removed from the McDougall Creek burn area.

The camera, which is part of the Southern Interior Mule Deer Project, had been removed from a tree and the bear guard left behind.

sa国际传媒淔rom the burn pattern on the tree, they (researchers) believe the camera would have survived the fire,sa国际传媒 read a post on the BCWF Facebook page. sa国际传媒淭hese cameras are all password protected and useless to anyone but those gathering data for better managing our wildlife in the SIMDeer Project.sa国际传媒

The BCWF is asking anyone who comes across a Reconyx camera, with a SIMDeer label on it, to contact them no questions asked.

sa国际传媒淲e just want to get the equipment and SD card data back to the researchers,sa国际传媒 the post said.

The BCWF and SIMDeer project relies on volunteer dollars and hours to make the project a success, and the loss of an expensive research camera and the SD card data is a setback.
