Clean Sweep: Kelownasa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s gluten-free brewery dominates at Canada Beer Awards

A Kelowna brewery known for making their beer a certain type of way dominated a category at the Canada Beer Awards.

Grey Fox Brewing won gold, silver, and bronze in the gluten-free category at the Canada Beer Cup at the end of October. Their Quick Witted beer won gold, Humble Lager won silver, and Buckwild Stout won bronze.

Founder and brewmaster Chris Neufeld has celiac disease and wanted to make beer enjoyable for people who also cansa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™t have gluten. Now, this hard work and dedication is being recognized as hesa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s filling a hole in the beer market by offering gluten-free beer.

Grey Fox Brewing has been open for almost 11 months now and is located at 105 - 310 Hiram Walker Court. To fill in the gluten-free market in the beer industry, Grey Fox beer can be found at more than 50 locations across the province.

At the Canada Beer Awards, Grey Fox wasnsa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™t the only Kelowna brewery to take home a medal. Jackknife Brewingsa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s Chimeran Awakening farmhouse ale won silver in the Brettanomyces Fermented Beer category.
