A celebrity chef known for his charity work has returned to the Okanagan and is already giving back to Pentictonsa国际传媒檚 most vulnerable.

Chef Victor Bongo will be at the Penticton Soupateria on Thursday, Oct. 26 starting at 11:30 a.m., to serve his famous African peanut soup to anyone in need.

Hesa国际传媒檒l be working alongside the Soupateria team, led by Carina Hakanson, who has been feeding the hungry for the past several years.

Bongosa国际传媒檚 African Peanut Soup is gluten-free and vegan-friendly, ensuring that even those with special dietary restrictions can enjoy it.

The recipe for his peanut soup was passed on to Bongo from his great grand-mama and refined and elevated by him.

When Bongo moved from Vancouver to Penticton, the multi-award-winning executive chef had two sa国际传媒減op-upsa国际传媒� restaurants in Naramata, the most recent being Bongo Bistro at Serendipity Winery a few years ago.

Bongo is also a cookbook author, which includes titles such as sa国际传媒淏orn to Cook: A Passion for Flavoursa国际传媒� which was just released.
