Various teams will be pulling an aircraft 100 metres for charity on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Hope Air's annual event Haul For Hope raises money for those with illnesses who need to travel long distances for vital medical care.

Over the years, Hope Air has arranged 7,285 travel plans for more than 800 patients from Kelowna. This year so far, they have provided 697 for people around the Central Okanagan, 348 of them out of Kelowna.

"This unique position as a high volume inbound and outbound community for patients makes Kelowna a natural stop on this yearsa国际传媒檚 Haul for Hope tour," stated a Hope Air release.

At the event, taking place at KF Aerospace from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., teams will have to pull an aircraft weighing 67,000 pounds 100 metres, as a metaphor to symbolize the long travel patients have to experience.

In September, Hope Air is also holding events in Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton. The organization is on track to provide travel for more than 40,000 patients in 2024.
