Like a mid-July afternoon in the Okanagan, the Kelowna Sun Devils are heating up.

The U18 college prep team posted a 3-1 record this weekend after splitting a two-game series to Ridge Meadows, and then sweeping a two-game series over Langley Township.

Pitchers Alex Thompson and Dreyton Nelmes led the way, while the Sun Devils bats continue to light up the scoresheet.

saʴýTremendous effort from our staff this weekend, specifically Dreyton and Alex,saʴý said coach Derek McPherson. saʴýBoth were aggressive, attacked the zone, worked ahead, and had great tempo.saʴý

saʴýAdam Renneberg continues to be a huge contributor offensively, now hitting .522 with three home-runs for the year.

saʴýThere are a lot of positives from his outing. Our expectation was seven of our last eight, and wesaʴýve accomplished that to leave us at 10-6 heading into our tournament break.saʴý
