McHappy Day has lived up to its name in the Okanagan, raising close to $25,000 for a local cause.

A grand total of $24,400 was presented to BGC Okanagan after the May 10 event, half of the total raised on the McDonaldsa国际传媒檚 franchisesa国际传媒檚 biggest day of the year.

sa国际传媒淭hey fill a vital role in the community, and we are happy to be a part of it,sa国际传媒� said Tim Pink, McDonaldsa国际传媒檚 Kelowna franchisee, when speaking of the local BGC.

BGC Okanagan offers young people a place of belonging to experience new opportunities, overcome barriers with confidence, meet new friends and create healthy relationships.

sa国际传媒淥ur wide range of programs includes providing healthy food and snacks to creating spaces for children and youth to engage in active, healthy living,sa国际传媒� said Richelle Leckey, community engagement coordinator with BGC Okanagan.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provides families a place to stay while their sick children are in hospital, was the other recipient.
