Kelownasa国际传媒檚 mayor OK with name change for task force on crime reduction

A name change is here for Kelownasa国际传媒檚 task force on crime reduction.

Itsa国际传媒檚 now the Mayorsa国际传媒檚 Task Force on Crime Reduction after several councillors noted they did not have input on the appointees.

sa国际传媒淭heysa国际传媒檝e been assigned by yourself (mayor),sa国际传媒 said Coun. Loyal Wooldridge. sa国际传媒淚 donsa国际传媒檛 really know the background of everybody. Isa国际传媒檓 sure yousa国际传媒檝e picked great people.sa国际传媒

Coun. Mohini Singh said she expects the appointees will do an excellent job, however, agreed with Wooldridge on the name change.

sa国际传媒淛ust for us to be clear, this was not a council discussion, we didnsa国际传媒檛 put forward the names, but as Coun. Wooldridge said this is a mayorsa国际传媒檚 task force.sa国际传媒

Mayor Tom Dyas said he was fine with the name change.

sa国际传媒淭his came out of our priority setting and it was stated that it would be called the crime and community task force, so thatsa国际传媒檚 why I followed that outline.sa国际传媒

The task force is currently made up of 13 members, including Dyas and Coun. Ron Cannan, from business organizations, justice and law enforcement representatives, and community outreach groups.
