Kelowna gamer donates proceeds to Central Okanagan Food Bank

A Kelowna gamer is helping out the community by fundraising and donating to the Central Okanagan Food Bank (COFB).

Dylan St. Onge, through his gaming page Destination Gaming TV, launched the fundraiser on April 2.

He said hesa国际传媒檚 donating all the proceeds from the month of April to the COFB to help members of the community who were hit hard by the current COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, he will also donate five cents per like and share on all his posts, including his live gaming streams, to the food bank.

sa国际传媒淪ome people might not be in a position to donate sa国际传媒 and this gives them the ability to contribute through something as simple as liking and sharing my posts in April,sa国际传媒 St. Onge said.

sa国际传媒淚 know five cents might not seem like a lot in the short run, but your share can help put this in front of someone else who might share or contribute.sa国际传媒

St. Onge said hesa国际传媒檚 lucky he still has work and has full-time hours.

sa国际传媒淚 still get paid and have full-time hours. I work for a great companysa国际传媒 but many people are not so lucky. This is a time when we really need to come together and give help where we can,sa国际传媒 he said.

He said hesa国际传媒檒l count the likes and shares on his Facebook page and figure out how much hesa国际传媒檒l add to the funds he raised.

sa国际传媒淭heresa国际传媒檚 so much negativity going on around right now and I just wanted to bring some positivity to those who are in need. Everyonesa国际传媒檚 super stressed out right now but theresa国际传媒檚 a light at the end of the tunnel and this is one of those times that everyone needs to pull together, especially as a community,sa国际传媒 St. Onge said.
