A dangerous repeat offender is back behind bars after being caught in a stolen vehicle on August 10.

Tyler Jack Newton, 32, was found in possession of a stolen GMC Sierra in the 1000 block of El Paso Road, before driving the vehicle to a business alongside a female passenger and being arrested without incident.

Newton was previously arrested in 2014 for the murder of Caesar Rosales. Newton stabbed Rosales in the neck with a knife at a transit stop in Kelowna on Oct. 30 of that year.
