A body found in Vernon's Bella Vista area on Tuesday morning (Aug. 20) is being investigated as a homicide.

Around 7:30 a.m., Vernon North Okanagan RCMP received a call after someone found the body near Okanagan Hills Boulevard in Vernon. 

"Wesa国际传媒檙e in the very early stages of our investigation at this time, but the death has been deemed suspicious and is being investigated as a homicide," said Vernon North Okanagan media relations officer Const. Chris Terleski. "Our Serious Crimes Unit has taken conduct of the investigation and is asking for the publicsa国际传媒檚 help."

Officers are looking to talk to anyone who may have witnessed a person or vehicle parked at the hairpin turn on Okanagan Hills Boulevard between the morning of Aug. 19 and 8 a.m. on Aug. 20.
