A motorist with sa国际传媒渢oo manysa国际传媒 tickets for using an electronic device while driving is facing a four-month driving prohibition, according to Saanich police.

sa国际传媒淛ust served a 72-year-old driver a 4-month driving prohibition as they had too many sa国际传媒榰se an electronic device while driving tickets,sa国际传媒檚a国际传媒 the police servicesa国际传媒檚 traffic safety unit tweeted Wednesday.

No other details on the driversa国际传媒檚 penalty were provided, but, according to the B.C. government website, prohibitions for experienced drivers can result if the driver incurs two or more distracted driving infractions within 12 months.

The fine for a driversa国际传媒檚 first distracted driving infraction totals $578 sa国际传媒 a $368 fine plus a four-point penalty on the driving record, which adds $210 to the driversa国际传媒檚 premium sa国际传媒 the website reads.

Drivers are charged a premium if they receive two or more distracted driving convictions in a three-year period.
