Thatsa国际传媒檚 how re-elected mayor Colin Basran described a hard-fought election win, he attributed to his campaign team and supporters.

sa国际传媒淢any times when I have been really low, they pick me up and they say, sa国际传媒榞et out there. You are the only candidate with experience who knows what they are talking about,sa国际传媒檚a国际传媒 Basran said to the crowd at the Curious Cafe on Ellis Street, shortly after 9:45 p.m., when it became clear that he was next mayor of Kelowna.

sa国际传媒淎nd I am so proud to have them by my side each and every time and they would go to the wall for me and I am blessed with the best campaign team, absolutely, in the business.sa国际传媒

Basran said that he thought that other candidates ran amazing campaigns and, one way or another, did the best they could to get issues heard, noting sa国际传媒渢he things she shared will make this city better.sa国际传媒

sa国际传媒淭hat being said, I am so excited to work with this new council. I am so excited all the incumbents got in because we we get along so well because we did amazing things together,sa国际传媒 he said.

Basran was greeted with a chant of sa国际传媒淐olin, Colin, Colinsa国际传媒 and high-fived by the supporters who lined the building for him

Basran has earned 16,904 of a potential 29,904 votes.

Council will be comprised of Maxine DeHart, Gail Given, Luke Stack, Mohini Singh, Brad Sieben, Charlie Hodge, Ryan Donn and Loyal Wooldridge.

9:33 p.m.

Incumbent mayor Colin Basran is well in the lead with 18/21 polling stations accounted for.

Basran has earned 16,858 of a potential 29,822 votes.

Council candidates currently in the lead are Maxine DeHart, Gail Given, Luke Stack, Mohini Singh, Brad Sieben, Charlie Hodge, Ryan Donn and Loyal Wooldridge.

9:15 p.m.

Colin Basran is keeping the lead for mayor with 12 of 21 polls accounted for. As of yet he has 12,136 of 21,5050 votes.

Council candidates currently in the lead are Maxine DeHart, Gail Given, Luke Stack, Mohini Singh, Brad Sieben, Charlie Hodge, Ryan Donn and Loyal Wooldridge.

9: 05 p.m.

The counting system for the Kelowna election is crashing, so the count has been going more slowly than anticipated.

At this point 9/21 polls have been accounted for and Colin Basran has the lead with 8,672 votes of 15,401 counted.

Council candidates currently in the lead are Maxine DeHart, Gail Given, Luke Stack, Mohini Singh, Brad Sieben, Charlie Hodge, Ryan Donn and Loyal Woodridge.

8:38 p.m.

Three of 21 polling stations have been counted, and Colin Basran is still in the lead for mayor with7,914 votes counted.

In the lead for council are Maxine DeHart, Gail Given, Luke Stack, Mohini Singh, Brad Sieben, Charlie Hodge, Ryan Donn and Loyal Woodridge.

8: 15 p.m.

Election results are starting to roll in with two of 21 polling stations reporting.

Colin Basran has 4,444 votes of 7,483 counted so far.

Voters across British Columbia head to the polls on Saturday to choose a mayor, council and other leaders in local government.

Polls are open in Kelowna at the following locations until 8 p.m. PT (except at Orchard Park Shopping Centre where the poll will close at 6 p.m.):

sa国际传媒 Have been a resident of British Columbia for at least the last six months

sa国际传媒 Have been a resident of the municipality for at least the last 30 days

sa国际传媒 Not disqualified by the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an election and am not otherwise disqualified by law

To vote in the election as a non-resident elector you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

sa国际传媒 Have not voted before in this election; and

sa国际传媒 Be a Canadian citizen; and

sa国际传媒 Be 18 years of age or older

sa国际传媒 Have been a resident of British Columbia for at least the last 6 months

sa国际传媒 Have been a registered owner of real property in Kelowna for at least the last 30 days
