Next weekend, the UBC Okanagan Heat basketball games are going to be on television.
In an agreement between Canada West and CBC, a new streaming deal has been announced, in which feature sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½˜games of the weeksa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™ will be broadcasted on CBC Gem, cbcsports.ca, or the CBC Sports app.
On Friday, Jan. 25, the UBCO Heat mensa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s and womensa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s basketball teams will have their chance to be seen live across the country as they welcome the UBC Thunderbirds to town. The womensa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s teams have at 5 p.m. followed by the men at 7 p.m.
For the rest of the season, 20 games will be broadcasted, across 17 post-secondary schools in the conference. They will feature basketball, volleyball, and hockey games, including six championship games.
