Seminar to provide tips on making Central Okanagan yards FireSmart

A FireSmart Your Yard seminar will be held in Lake Country on Saturday, Aug. 10. 

Itsa国际传媒檚 an effort to promote wildfire prevention awareness by the Lake Country and Kelowna fire departments, Okanagan Water Basin Board, Okanagan Xeriscape and Kel Lake Garden Centre.

The seminar will provide simple gardening and landscaping steps to sa国际传媒渕ake water worksa国际传媒� in arid landscapes and mitigate the risks of wildfire.

It takes place at Kel Lake Garden Centre (4351 Shanks Road) starting at 10 a.m. on Aug. 10.
