PHOTOS: Hundreds get inked at annual tattoo show in Kelowna

The show was held at the Kelowna Curling Club

Hundreds of thousands of dollars were spent at the Okanagan Tattoo Show in Kelowna this weekend.

Artists from across the country travelled to Kelowna to host a table during the three-day show at the Kelowna Curling Club.

Kurtis Rogers of Frequency Tattoo travelled from Norquay, Saskatchewan to join the show for the first time.

Rogers said he only took walk-ups during the convention but found steady business all three days.

Rogers has been tattooing for about four years.

"It's a very rewarding job," he said. "I've never been happier with anything in my entire life, other than my family."

Rogers drove ahead of the convention with his partner, son, and dog. The family enjoyed a few Okanagan beach days ahead of the show and said it was hard to head home.

After a successful first run for Rogers at the Okanagan Tattoo Show, the artist said he would return next year.

In its 10th year, the show ran July 19-21.
