Motorbike rider taken to hospital following crash in Kelowna

UPDATE: June 12

A two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, sent one person to the hospital, Tuesday night. 

The incident happened at about 10 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 97 and Fenwick Rd. 

Police determined a motorcycle travelling southbound collided with a vehicle travelling northbound that turned onto Fenwick, failing to yield to oncoming traffic. 

The motorbike rider was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the car was fined. 


A motorcycle appeared to collide with the side of a vehicle on Highway 97 North near Fenwick Road at about 10 p.m., Tuesday.

Highway 97 N was reduced to a single lane southbound, following the incident.

Emergency crews were on scene and cleaning debris for over an hour. 

Itsa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s unclear what caused the collision.

A Capital News reporter who arrived on scene following the crash stated it appeared at least one person was reportedly taken to hospital.

Capital News has reached out to RCMP for comment.
