Kelowna RCMP, Crimestoppers asking public for info on cut down ponderosa trees

Kelowna RCMP, Crimestoppers, and the City of Kelowna are continuing to investigate the 12 trees damaged in Mission Ridge Park.

A reward up to $2,000 is up for grabs for anyone who has information regarding the 10 mature Ponderosa pines that were cut down and two more that were damaged in Mission Ridge Park.

Kelowna RCMP started their investigation on Friday, Aug. 16 and its ongoing. 

"These trees are an important part of the natural ecosystem providing valuable slope stability," Crimestoppers states.

Anyone with information who would like to remain anonymous can contact Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave a tip online at  or Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference file number 2024-44190.
