Covens of witches take to the water for paddle board events in Okanagan

Spooky events are being held in West Kelowna, Oyama and Coldstream ahead of Halloween

The witching hour has come to the Central Okanagan.

Witchy folk will be heading out for paddle board rides while dressed in pointy hats around West Kelowna, Coldstream and Oyama to usher in the spooky season in the Okanagan.

West Kelowna witches will be setting sail on Sunday Oct. 8. The wiccans are planning to gather at the Pritchard Beach and Playground, but the location may be subject to change due to a large amount of interest in the event. Stay up to date on potential location changes by following the

The Wood Lake Water Witches are hosting their annual paddle on Oct. 15. Hundreds of spooky paddlers will conjure up across from Oyama Hall at 2p.m. and will start paddling at 3p.m. People are encouraged to dress up in their spookiest attire for the event.

Another event is planned for Kal Beach on Oct. 28, at noon, with hundreds of witches expected. The Colstream event is co-hosted by the Kalavida Surf Shop.
