2 West Kelowna firefighters honoured for service

West Kelowna Fire Rescue honoured their own at an awards night for those from Station 34. 

Nathan Rosin was recognized for his five years of exemplary service. The firefighter is said to have a dedicated attendance rate and worked many long shifts as a driver and operator during the McDougall Creek Wildfire. 

Rosin was also awarded the Paid-On-Call Firefighter of the Year. 

William Hauca has spent 25 years committing time and energy as a firefighter at Station 34. Hauca was presented with a ceremonial axe in recognition of his service. 

"Firefighter Hauca is a staple at Station 34 and WKFR in general, always looking out for his fellow firefighters and bringing laughter wherever he goes," stated the  on Facebook.
