sa国际传媒楾is the season for Immaculata Regional High School students to help with the annual Turkey Drive in support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank.

The food drive is asking for frozen turkeys and monetary donations to purchase more. The goal is to collect 250 turkeys.

sa国际传媒淥ne of the primary goals of Immaculata Regional High School is to foster social awareness and a commitment to community service in our students,sa国际传媒� said school principal Rob Plaxton. sa国际传媒淲e are once again proud to host this event in support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank during their lead up to the Christmas season, while in turn helping local families who are in need.sa国际传媒�

sa国际传媒淜nowing that all donations will directly put a turkey on the table of a less fortunate family in our community is something that every donor can feel really good about,sa国际传媒� adds event founder Jim Hare.

Since this time last year, the food bank has seen a 32 per cent increase in visits, with the largest growing demographic being dual income low wage household.

sa国际传媒淲e currently serve over 7,500 individuals each month, and we expect that number to continue to grow due to inflation and the high cost of living,sa国际传媒� said the food banksa国际传媒檚 director of revenue Trina Speiser.

The sixth annual event is taking place on Friday, Dec. 15 from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Immaculata Regional High School at 1493 KLO Road.
