A womensa国际传媒檚 race car driver from Comox Valley is coming to Kelowna for International Womensa国际传媒檚 Day.
On Mar. 7, the day before International Womensa国际传媒檚 Day, Kelowna Mercedes-Benz is welcoming Formula 3sa国际传媒檚 first female champion Nicole Havrda.
The 18-year-old will be on hand to share her story about competing in a male-dominated sport as well as encouraging more women to enter the automotive industry. She will also be taking part in a question and answer period with members of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
This initiative will also be a part of Mercedes-Benz Canadasa国际传媒檚 Driving Your Future corporate citizenship initiative, which focuses on empowering the next generation of Canadians.
Havrdasa国际传媒檚 goal is to make it to Formula 1.
