Highway 1 east of Revelstoke is closed in both directions due to a vehicle incident.
The incident happened between Townley Street and Oak Drive around 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Aug. 20.
It's unknown at this time how many vehicles were involved or if anyone is injured. It's not believed anyone was taken to hospital as an ambulance at the scene but was cleared just before 6 a.m.
An assessment remains in progress, according to DriveBC, who will be providing the next update at 8:30 a.m.
It is the fourth time in the last nine days the highway was closed outside Revelstoke due to a vehicle incident.
