The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down many businesses and events, but a local video company isnsa国际传媒檛 letting that stop them from getting creative.
Kelownasa国际传媒檚 One Peak Creative started their own campaign #adsolation, which has seen them make one ad every day. With most of their shoots pushed back due to the pandemic, the team decided to continue making ads to keep their creativity moving, according to the creative agencysa国际传媒檚 co-owner Conar Fair.
sa国际传媒淲e had to come up with an idea to keep us fresh and creative and honing our skills so we can come out of this better than when we went insa国际传媒� we also wanted to find a unique way to involve the community as well,sa国际传媒� Fair said.
As the team got the hang of same-day shoots and edits, they decided to make an ad for Ryan Reynoldsa国际传媒檚 Aviation American Gin.
The triosa国际传媒檚 video got Reynoldsa国际传媒檚 approval, as well as his wifesa国际传媒檚.
sa国际传媒淲e mostly did it because we thought it would be super fun to create and obviously, we were hoping that maybe Ryan would end up seeing itsa国际传媒� and I guess yeah, he did,sa国际传媒� he said.
sa国际传媒淥ur weeks are super busy right now so after we filmed and posted the ad, Isa国际传媒檝e been running on four hours of sleep. Glen and Meg (One Peaksa国际传媒檚 co-owners), they ran to my room and were like sa国际传媒榠t happened, he replied!sa国际传媒�. It was just this incredible surreal feeling. It felt great to know he had seen something we worked so hard on.sa国际传媒�
Fair said besides the great feedback from Reynolds, One Peaksa国际传媒檚 team is also very excited about the community theysa国际传媒檝e received.
sa国际传媒淓verybody has been supportive of everything wesa国际传媒檝e done so far. Itsa国际传媒檚 just been incredible to see what wesa国际传媒檙e capable of accomplishing within a day.sa国际传媒�
He said theysa国际传媒檝e also received messages from parents about how their work is inspiring young students to pursue visual arts.
sa国际传媒淚tsa国际传媒檚 just really cool because when I was growing up, I didnsa国际传媒檛 really know this was something that was possiblesa国际传媒� so itsa国际传媒檚 cool that wesa国际传媒檙e showcasing this to a younger generation,sa国际传媒� he said.
Fair also has a piece of advice.
sa国际传媒淔or anybody whosa国际传媒檚 been thinking about doing and it scares you, just give it a shot. Go for it. Jump all the way in, and yousa国际传媒檙e going to be amazed at what you can do and the outcome.sa国际传媒�
