Officially, the summer solstice arrives in 2023 just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21.

The 29th annual DVA Sunshine Festival is set for Saturday, June 17. The past two years, the DVA held a successful alternative called Sunshine sa国际传媒楧aysa国际传媒� that focused on the businesses (while working around regulations for events).

sa国际传媒淭his year, we are closing off six city blocks to transform 30th Avenue into a vehicle-free playground for both children and adults,sa国际传媒� said Kaz. sa国际传媒淲hile showcasing our wonderful downtown businesses and a few outside vendors, you wonsa国际传媒檛 get bored. Grab the squad and bask under the Okanagan sun (or cloud).sa国际传媒�

The 29th Annual Sunshine Festival is presented by VantageOne Credit Union. It is a free event with free parking at all meters. Play games, meet mascots, listen to live music throughout, find new treasures, eat, dance, shop and so much more.

A sample of what you will see:

- The Food Zone which consists of food trucks, picnic tables w/umbrellas;

- The main stage for bands (on every hour from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and more;

- Childrensa国际传媒檚 activities can be found in The Kids Zone (the 2900 block). Find games, music, a reptile show, face painting, illusionist, balloon animals and more.
