Successful start to National Adoption Week for Okanagan Humane Society

The Okanagan Humane Society kicked off National Adoption Week at Kelownasa国际传媒檚 Pet Smart.

Vice-President of Operations Charity Dickinson said the two-hour adoption event was highly successful.

Dickinson said the last event at Bosleysa国际传媒檚 in Kelowna found similar success.

sa国际传媒淭hese cats were strays. They usually come in as strays and they need help,sa国际传媒 Dickinson said. She stressed the importance of adopting to get feral cats off the streets.

All of the cats are vaccinated and spayed or neutered before being adopted out. The humane society asks adoptees to keep their new cat indoors and slowly introduce them to other animals living in the home.
