It was a happy ending for a pot-belly pig that survived a rather dramatic fall off the back of a truck and spent the night in the cold.

Louie the pig escaped his crate from the back of a truck along the highway near the Kelowna International Airport Wednesday night.

The pig was on his way to a new home.

It was dark, foggy and pouring rain and the owner could not find him.

He was last seen running into the field beside the airport before his old owner reached out on Facebook for help.

Thursday morning several local residents jumped into action and spotted the pig, right near where it first ran off near the Eldorado Ranch.

The pig was reportedly uninjured, but spooked.

He was eventually guided into a waiting cage and was headed home for sa国际传媒渁 bunch of yummy foodsa国际传媒.
