Did you know Keremeossa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™ Grist Mill and Gardens have almost 100 heritage apple varieties growing on the property?
The heritage site invited the public to sample some of its amazing and uncommon apples last weekend.
The tasting took place in the Apple House. Heritage apple varieties arensa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™t like your regular store-bought Granny Smith, Gala or Macintosh.
The apples at the Grist Mill are everything from Wolf River, Northern Spy or Caville Blanc Dsa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™hiver. Theresa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s also the Coxsa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s Orange Pippin, an Ashmeadsa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½™s Kernel or Grimes Golden, said Grist Mill general manager Chris Mathieson.
This was also the last weekend the mill will be open for the season.
