Candlewick Press and Once Upon a Bookstore are challenging Kelowna families to find Waldo through the month of July. 

For the 12th year, the iconic character in red and white stripes and black glasses will be hiding in 23 local businesses. 

The game of hide-and-seek is done to encourage families to check out local shops and organizations they may not yet have experienced. 

Those interested in playing can grab a stamp card at any participating store or through Once Upon a Bookstore's website. 

Participants who spot at least 20 Waldos will be entered into a grand prize draw for Waldo books and prizes from local stores. 

A few hiding spots of the miniature Waldo include the Okanagan Military Museum, Chickpea Zero Waste Refillery, and Heirloom Bohemia. 

A party will be held at Once Upon a Bookstore to wrap up the hunt on July 31.
