BC Lions promote sexual assault awareness

The BC Lions are speaking out against sexual abuse.

Called sa国际传媒淏e More Than A Bystander,sa国际传媒 the initiative aims to increase understanding and awareness about sexual violence provincewide.

sa国际传媒(Itsa国际传媒檚) not only to spread awareness but to promote the men to step up and change our conversation,sa国际传媒 said Lions fullback Rolly Lumbala.

Kelowna Secondary School students, the KSS football team, and college students listened as players Eric Fraser and Lumbala spoke about defining and preventing sexual assault at the Okanagan College, Feb. 22.

Every six days a woman is murdered in Canada, said executive director of the Elizabeth Fry Society Michelle Novakowski.

The project is between EVA BC and the BC Lions.
